First post. Thinking about writing a fanfic again...

All rightie, this is my first time actually dedicating a journal to a video game, and, well, since I've been a big fan of Soul Calibur for a long time now, I decided to do so, especially just being able to finally get back into the game series... which will hopefully help with taking my mind off of stress, among other things.

I'm thinking about writing a fanfic, which I haven't done in a long time now... I used to write stories revolving around Yoshimitsu and the Manjitou, often about my homemade character Kagemitsu (her real name was Jung Sha-mitsu, with Kagemitsu being a clan title) and various settings, many of these stories were never published online, due to a number of reasons... some of them were unfinished, I lost motivation or was discouraged over time... most of the time I refused to publish them online because I know how many other SC fans tend to dislike original characters (and, oh dear, we all know how vicious and disrespectful these people online can be), but thinking about it now, if I live in 'fear' of other fans, then how am I supposed to have fun?

So, I decided this time around, I'll stick to doing my own thing - and all of that will be found here on my blog. :)

First thing's first though... I should state that I am not a fan of fandoms (never been big with interacting with so many others, especially as many fans seem to either be much younger than me, or even if they are older, they act with the mentality of somebody much younger than me), nor pairings (which is why I won't read anybody else's fanfiction, most of the time), but like everybody else, I do have my own say here and there, even regarding pairings. I just generally prefer real canon pairings over fanon and strange off-the-wall ones, that's all. Ironically enough, I actually do enjoy the occasional canon character x original fanfic character pairings, if well written. But as already stated, pairings are not my thing, so I would appreciate to not hear anything about pairings on my blog comments (unless, of course, I'm making an entry about some pairing, but I doubt that would happen), thankyou. :)

Okayies, now that's out of the way... I suppose I'll update this again with more useful and fun information about my favourite thingies about Soul Calibur, when I'm more awake... 'tis the middle of the night for me as it were. Needless for me to say, as 'tis already written in my journal summary, I'm Raphael Sorel's lover and I will obviously be speaking plentiful about him (you may also expect him to make a regular routine appearance in many of my future fanfics). ^_^
